Fit and comfort: the seal is everything
Like every AirPods Pro generation, the seal-based design needs the right tip size to actually work — both for noise cancelling performance and for the earbuds to stay secure. Apple includes multiple tip sizes in the box, and it’s worth actually testing the fit rather than assuming the default works, since a bad seal quietly kills both noise cancelling and bass response. Once sized correctly, they stay secure through normal daily movement and are comfortable enough for extended wear.
Noise cancelling and adaptive sound
Active noise cancellation is effective for the size, cutting through car AC hum and general background noise without needing to push volume up to compensate — genuinely useful for Kuwait’s mix of AC-heavy indoor spaces and loud outdoor traffic. Adaptive sound mode blends transparency and noise cancelling automatically based on your environment, which in practice means less manual toggling between modes than earlier AirPods Pro generations required.
New this generation: heart rate monitoring and live translation
The two features that separate the Pro 3 from earlier AirPods Pro models: onboard heart rate monitoring, useful for workouts without needing a separate wearable, and live translation, which works within Apple’s ecosystem for real-time spoken translation. Neither is a reason on its own to upgrade from a Pro 2 if you don’t specifically want them, but for a first-time buyer choosing between generations, they’re a genuine differentiator.
Battery life and everyday use
Up to 8 hours of playback per charge is on the shorter side for the true-wireless category, but the MagSafe charging case’s fast top-up speed means this rarely becomes a practical problem through a normal day of on-and-off use rather than continuous playback. The case charges via USB-C, matching the rest of Apple’s current lineup, and is also MagSafe-compatible for wireless top-ups.
Water, dust, and sweat resistance make these genuinely usable for workouts and outdoor errands in Kuwait’s dust and heat — worth checking the specific IP rating on Apple’s own page if that’s a priority for your use case, since Apple doesn’t always publish a single blanket figure across the whole earbud-and-case system.

Who should — and shouldn’t — buy the AirPods Pro 3?
You should buy it if…
You’re on iPhone and want the best all-round earbud Apple makes, especially if heart rate tracking during workouts or live translation are genuinely useful to you. The fast-charging case also suits anyone who tends to forget to charge overnight.
You should skip it if…
You’re on Android — most of the standout features here are Apple-ecosystem-exclusive, so a cross-platform earbud will serve you better. If you already own AirPods Pro 2 and don’t specifically want heart rate monitoring or live translation, the upgrade isn’t essential.
